Firehouse Boxing Mission Statement

Our goal at Firehouse Boxing is to provide the community with a safe and healthy environment to learn the art of boxing. We are a drug and alcohol free establishment. We emphasize the importance of team work, good sportsmanship, and fair play. We encourage our members to improve mentally, spiritually and physically to be an all around better person and athlete. Boxers and clients will develop self esteem and self confidence from learning this form of self defense. We encourage individuals and families to lead healthier lifestyles and assist them in reaching their goals. We strive to touch the lives of as many individuals as possible with the positive benefits of boxing and kick boxing. By following our one kind of a program, members will lose weight, improve muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, power and agility. They will increase muscle mass and decrease body fat adhering to our special exercise and healthy eating programs. We adhere to a code which consists of the importance of respect, honor dignity and courage.

Boxing/Kick Boxing Basics

It is a well known fact that as well as allowing you to release your pent up anger, sports such as boxing can also mean you are far better equipped to get out of unforeseen trouble than somebody that does not know how to defend themselves. You can tackle that with the basics of Boxing and Kick Boxing. During the basic Boxing/Kick Boxing class you are guaranteed to learn the fundamentals of the sports: learn the basic stance or "on guard position", gather the footwork while mastering every punch. Kick and Combinations of both. PUNCHES: Jab, Cross, Hook, Uppercut. KICKS: Front Snap Kick, Power Snap Kick, Roundhouse, Side Kick. Along with the benefits of learning self defense you will be well on your way to a great workout to get in the best shape of your life.

Advanced Boxing / Kick Boxing

Advanced Boxing / Kick Boxing involves everything taken from the Basic class developed into a HIIT (high intensity interval training) workout. This class is designed to burn calories and critique the Boxing fundamentals all in a fun group or individual setting. The advanced Boxing/Kick Boxing class is performed just like a real Boxing match with timed rounds and rest periods along with added exercises to gather a Knockout full body workout. You get the training like a Boxer without ever stepping into the ring. Unless you want too. It is your choice. Whether taking group or individual private lessons I work closely with my clients to ensure they reach their fitness goals.
